Brief bio:
Literary critic of Indian state of Assam . He writes in English and Assamese . Masters in English from Dibrugarh University , he taught English at premiere institutes and had brief stint at prestigious English daily The Sentinel as Sub Editor before his induction into Assam Police. His writing interest include diverse subjects ranging from socio political issues , Literary theories , Sub-altern studies and Post Colonialism etc . Started his writing career by writing letters and brief write ups in national English magazines in formative years. He won All Assam Best Debater award in 2004 held at DKD College .His debut book of literary criticism “Path Aru Bikshyan” has received wide critical acclaim and hailed as path breaking work of criticism . Participated in literary events of Sahitya Akademi and Assam Publication Board as Literary critic . Though known as Critic , he has penchant for writing stories and poems in English and vernacular language though very sparse in number . He is a contributor to English dailies of Assam and prominent literary journals of Assam
